ReplyDeleteThe thing I enjoyed about the book was that it was in a hard time but they still fought without hurting anyone.I also liked how Annemarie wears the Star of David till Ellen gets back because it shows friendship. The part I didn't like that Peter died from getting shot by the nazis, also how the soldiers throw the cheese on the ground.
What I enjoyed about the book was that it was based on some stories that are achilly true. Also how Lois Lowry learned and told about this horrific time period. There wasn't really anything I didn't like about the book because it breath taking and a cliffhanger.I think the story ended great because, one it it shows how happy everyone is that the war is over. And two because it shows how brave Annemarie is and how she is not afraid to wear Ellen’s necklace. One thing that I wish would happen that didn't is that Ellen would come back and live a happy life being friends with Annemarie. I wish that because Ellen and Annemarie are great friends and they both deserve a happy life.
ReplyDeleteThe part about Number the Stars was that Annmarie did whatever she could to protect Ellen and how brave she was. Nothing stopped Annmarie, the part that i didn't like about the book was that when Kristy slapped the soldier’s hand away, she didn't realize how dangerous that decision was. I didn't like how the book ended because it talked about all the sad parts, it said that Peter died and how Lise died.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the book, it was very heart racing and had lots of good discription. I love how Lois Lowry added the characters on the settings and the attitudes of the charters. Like Kristi, her out going sassy attitude. I think that everyone enjoyed how she used cliffhangers and dialog. I think that Lois used very good settings, characteristics, and facts. I liked that she actually used a part of history in her story. The handkerchief. I liked in the story when Kristi stood up and thought her own thought when the soldiers touched her hair. One thing I didn't like is how Lois Lowry left us hanging at the end of the book. She didn't even tell us if Ellen came back! I love how Lois put the charters in the place and time and attitudes she did.I would recommend Number the Stars book to anyone who needs a book to read.
